Janicel Lubina Japan bound for Miss International 2015
After bursting with joy following Ann Colis’ victory, another queen is leaving to make waves in the international pageant scene.
On October 17, Binibining Pilipinas International 2015 Janicel Lubina is flying to Japan to vie for the coveted Miss International title, bringing with her the hopes and expectations of her supporters.
Since she started her reign, Janicel has undergone months of extensive training; from personality development, speech and language lessons, social graces, gym, hair and makeup, and one-on-one coaching, to prepare for the pageant.
Our 20-year-old Philippine delegate hopes to make our country proud by becoming the 6th Filipina to bring the crown home.
Previous Filipina Miss International titlists were Gemma Teresa Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005), and Bea Rose Santiago (2013).
“I am more motivated now to win the title. I am so thankful for the many trainings that Binibining Pilipinas, Inc. (BPCI) has offered to all of us queens and I can say that at this point I am really prepared to compete internationally,” says Janicel.
Aside from excitement the pageant brings, it is also her first time to go to Japan which makes this trip even more personal.
“I am looking forward to go to Japan and explore their culture. I am also studying simple Japanese greetings. Aside from that, I am really eager to meet my co-candidates,” says Janicel.
Janicel, who hails from Palawan, stands 5 foot 8 inches tall and measures 34-24-34.
The 55th Miss International pageant will be held on November 5 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hiten Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
