Last Call for Potential Beauty Queens
Now on its 50th year, Binibining Pilipinas, the most prestigious local beauty competition that discovers, trains and sends young, gorgeous and intelligent ladies to huge international beauty tilts around the world, has extended its search for the next batch of Filipina beauty queens until January 22, 2013. The search is open to all qualified single ladies aged 17 to 25 years old who are of Filipino citizens, and at least 5'6 tall with pleasing personality, at least a high school graduate and of good moral character.
Applicants may download the application form at www.bbpilipinas.com and are encouraged to submit the document in person at the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) Office, Smart Araneta Coliseum from Mondays to Fridays, 10 am to 6 pm. The following requirements should be submitted upon application: Original birth certificate authenticated by NSO, certified true copy of high school diploma, Philippine passport (if any), close-up and full body photos, and a written consent for parents if 17 years of age.
The search has been extended due to the high number of interested applicants who wish to join the competition as a result of three successive inspiring wins of three Filipinas at the Miss Universe Pageant -- Commercial model, Actress and TV Host Venus Raj’s 4th Runner Up finish in 2010, Architect Shamcey Supsup overwhelming 3rd Runner Up victory in 2011, and licensed pharmacist Janine Tugonon’s impressive 1st Runner Up triumph just last December.
The Binibining Pilipinas Pageant has successfully produced world-class beauty queens in the form of Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1969, Margie Moran, Miss Universe 1973, Lara Quigaman, Miss International 2005 and many others.
