As of February 23, 2006
Bb. Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), in cooperation with GMA Network, Inc., pays tribute to the Filipina women who have soared and explored where ordinary women would not. Taking inspiration from the success of Bb. Pilipinas’ reigning queens in the international competitions, this year’s pageant will showcase the women of today in the real world – faced with tough challenges yet undaunted in the quest to surpass her own achievements. Breaking through the glass ceiling is indeed the name of the game as twenty-four lovely candidates captivate the audience and wit in another night to remember.
In true Bb. Pilipinas tradition, the beauty pageant offers no less than an exciting competition from start to finish. The Araneta Coliseum will be steaming hot during the Swimsuit Competition as the candidates dazzle in their colorful swimsuits while snippets of their early summer getaway at Eagle Ridge Resort in Cavite are flashed on the giant screens. Tensions will build up even more during the Long Gown competition as the ladies showcase their regal bearing in their exquisite long gowns by Cumbia. Finally, it will be a test of spontaneity under pressure when the candidates face the judges in the much-awaited question-and-answer portion.
A visual spectacle is what the Grand Coronation Night will be as the Filipino nation witness the candidates work their way up to the highly coveted titles of Bb. Pilipinas-International, Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Bb. Pilipinas-World, respectively.
Hosted by Dingdong Dantes, Dennis Trillo and Pia Guanio, the pageant will surely be another highly entertaining and unforgettable viewing experience when the hottest pop alternative band Cueshe serenade the lovely ladies with their hit songs. Reigning queens also take center stage in their spectacular production number with GMA’s hottest male stars Alfred Vargas, Dion Ignacio, Andrew Wolff and Jeremy Marquez.
