Fashion Show Caps Off a week of Style for Binibining Pilipinas 2012
From stylish swimsuits to elegant national costumes to trendy summer wear, the thirty candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2012 showed off their fierce fashionista best in a week that was capped off with a Fashion Show co-sponsored by Jag.
Last March 12, the ladies strutted down the catwalk at the Genting Club of Resorts World Manila in their blue one-piece swimsuits during the Press Presentation. The candidates then gamely showed off their trim and toned bodies for the members of the press at the pool area. Afterwards, they once again took to the stage in their stylized Filipiniana costumes for the National Costume Competition. The designers who made the national costumes for the candidates were Renee Salud, Onin Pagsisihan, Mia Urquico, Ariel Alvarez, Johnny Abad, Jeffrey Logador, Jearson Dimavivas, Edwin Uy, Joao Tarepe for Chardin, Joel Acebuche, Lloyd Arceo, Frederick Policarpio, Dennis Lustico, Ryan Sarangay, Harold Borlado, Pablo Mendez III, Nick Plaza, Veejay Floresca, Plana, Aryel Dulay, Dave Ocampo, Cary Santiago, Ivan dela Cruz, and Jontie Martinez.
On March 17, the lovely candidates mesmerized the weekend mall-goers during the Binbining Pilipinas fashion show sponsored by major sponsors Avon and JAG Jeans over at the Ali Mall Activity Area. The ladies, led by Miss Universe Philippines 2011 Shamcey Supsup, Binibining Pilipinas International 2011 Dianne Necio, and Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2011 Isabella Manjon, walked down the runway first in figure hugging jeans, chic shorts, and casual tops from JAG. The ladies took to the stage a second and third time donning trendy summer wear and stylish cocktail dresses from Cumbia. All accessories during the show were from Avon. The reigning queens closed the show when they sashayed on the stage with their crowns. The fashion show was choreographed and managed by top fashion director Raymond Villanueva.
The national costume competition and the fashion show will be shown on April 8 during the pre-pageant primer in ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best.
