One stop shop for passport services now more accessible in the North

As part of its efforts to bring its services closer to customers, the Department of Foreign Affairs has opened its newest satellite office, the DFA-NCR Northeast branch, at the Ali Mall Government Center in Araneta Center, Quezon City. The DFA-NCR Northeast branch was officially inaugurated on March 6.
Araneta Group Chairman, President, and CEO Mr. Jorge L. Araneta and Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. Del Rosario led the inauguration ceremony at Ali Mall. Araneta Group Vice Chairman Mrs. Judy Araneta-Roxas, Araneta Group Senior Vice President for Operations Mr. Antonio T. Mardo, Ali Mall Property Manager Mr. Morriel A. Abogado, DFA Undersecretary Rafael E. Seguis, DFA Assistant Secretary Wilfredo C. Santos, DFA Assistant Secretary Melita Sta. Maria-Thomeczek, Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista, Quezon City District III Congressman Jorge Banal, and Quezon City District I Congressman Francisco Calalay were also present during the inauguration ceremony. Adding elegance to the affair were the 40 Official Candidates of Binibining Pilipinas 2014.
With the opening of the new DFA-NCR Northeast branch in Ali Mall, residents of Quezon City and nearby cities and municipalities can now apply for and renew their passports, and authenticate their documents in a safe and convenient environment. The branch also has dedicated special or courtesy lanes for senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities.
At more than 700 sq.m., the DFA-NCR Northeast branch is one of the biggest satellite branches of the DFA. The Ali Mall branch can process up to 1,000 appointments daily. To secure a slot, visit the DFA website (www.dfa.gov.ph) to set an appointment at your preferred date.
The Ali Mall Government Center, a one-stop shop for basic government services, is located at level 2 in Ali Mall, and aims to bring convenience and public service to a whole new level for its loyal patrons. Aside from the DFA-NCR Northeast branch, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth), Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost), and Barangay Socorro satellite office are also at the Ali Mall Government Center. Soon to open at the Ali Mall Government Center are the satellite offices of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Quezon City Business Permit and Licensing Office.Ali Mall, which opened in 1976 as the country’s first ever mall, is once again making its presence felt as one of the city’s dining and shopping havens. More shopping and dining options, updated interiors, and wider sidewalks have been added to create a more inviting and leisurely environment.
