Christian sang love songs to the thirty official candidates of the Bb. Pilipinas 2012 as they were presented to the media at the Gateway Suites on the eve of Valentines. The ladies come from all around the country, most of them relatively new to beauty pageants, while the others are comebacking aspirants.

Current Binibini title holders Shamcey Supsup, Dianne Necio, Isabella Manjon cheered the new candidates with words of encouragement and some pointers on how to survive the hectic weeks before coronation night on April 15.

In her brief message, BPCI chair Mrs. Stella Marquez Araneta said that choosing the 30 girls is only the beginning of the journey ahead. She enjoined support for the girls saying that the coming days will bring out the best among the ladies as they plunge into hair and make up sessions, speech and personality development tutorials, photo and video shoots. The girls will also be involved in a host of charitable activities such as the Operation Smile Philippines mission. "All these are part of being a Binibining Pilipinas beauty queen. You will see each of these ladies do their best in fashion shows, talent competitions, parades, and more. It is going be very hectic from now until April 15. From this lot, I am certain we will see the three ladies who will be a source of Filipino pride, the next queens who will conquer the global beauty stage," Mrs. Araneta said.

Meet the 30 official delegates in a special presentation at the Activity Area of Ali Mall, February 14 at 4pm.

The Bb. Pilipinas 2012 will be staged on April 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and will be aired live at ABS-CBN.
